SENSODYNE TUBE AND BOX BRAND

This Sensodyne project revisits a product I originally worked on several years ago while freelancing with Interbrand in London. Having previously photographed the product, I wanted to explore how effectively it could be recreated and visualised in 3D. The project also gave me an opportunity to further understand how Cinema 4D XL handles materials such as plastics, glass and translucent surfaces. One of the original product designs did not include a cap, so I developed a new closure for the 3D version, giving it a frosted finish and introducing subtle surface wear through modelling and texturing.

I particularly enjoyed working on the original project at Interbrand. It was a strong collaborative team, and I felt we achieved a successful evolution of the brand and packaging design. One of the standout details was the holographic treatment applied to the tooth graphic on the box. This became a distinctive finishing element and added another level of premium detail to the packaging. I would like to explore recreating this effect within Cinema 4D XL as part of the ongoing 3D development.

The final renders combine 3D modelling, materials and lighting with selective AI assistance. AI was used to introduce subtle imperfections to the plastic, enhance the frosted and slightly worn appearance of the cap, and add a more natural photographic quality to the final imagery.
