GIN BOTTLE AND BOX CONCEPTS

For this gin concept, I developed a range of four distinct variants: Diamond, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire, with each flavour represented through its own colour identity. The concept was to introduce subtle colour into the gin itself, with the exception of Diamond, which would remain clear. The colours would be deliberately restrained to maintain a premium and elegant appearance, while allowing the more vibrant tones to come through across the labelling and packaging.

For the bottle closure, I explored a custom plastic cap design with an integrated internal thread, concealing the bevels and mechanical detailing typically visible on standard closures. The bottle would be finished with a tear-off plastic film seal to provide a clean and contemporary approach to tamper protection.

The box packaging follows the same design language as the bottles, carrying the Diamond, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire identities across the range. The box concept features an embossed black-on-black pattern across the surface, creating a tactile and understated finish. The key logo elements would follow the same visual treatment as the bottle labels, with a gloss varnish suggested over these areas to create contrast against the embossed background.

For the remaining packaging, I explored two finishes: retaining the natural cardboard appearance or applying a matt varnish for a more refined, premium feel.

The visuals shown are a combination of 3D modelling and rendering, with AI used selectively to introduce natural imperfections and enhance the appearance of the glass. The box renderings were particularly successful, requiring only some final Photoshop retouching.
